Patricks Philosophy: At the End of the Day…it’s just Grape Juice.
Don’t overcomplicate the experience…just enjoy it in your unique way.
Patrick Wilt, the son of two Marines, was raised in Richardson, Texas where the house was always buzzing with great food, wine and friends. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Patrick began his 12 year career in wine working for a wine distributor where he was responsible to building wine lists and cellars for fine dining restaurants in Dallas.
After the birth of his second child, Patrick moved the family to Hunt to get out of the city and gain some sanity in the Hill Country.
In 2007, Grape Juice Wine Shop was born in Ingram, Texas where Patrick was able to showcase his wine knowledge and sell the wines made by the people he really loved. One year later, Grape Juice By-The-Glass was opened upstairs from the wine shop and quickly, from many hill country residents, became a place to hide out and enjoy great wine and friends. In September 2011, Patrick and his wife closed the Ingram location, purchased and renovated the old Rose Shop in downtown Kerrville and reopened Grape Juice adding unique beer and simple food to the mix.
Blake Bingham, Beer Guy
Blake is a true lover of beer and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others. Blake’s extensive career in beer began at an early age…sneaking beers our of his parents fridge. He then progressed to back yard keg parties and the occasional keg stands in his college years. As he aged, he thirst for beer intensified and he began seeking out the unique craft brewed beers and realized that beer doesn’t have to taste like yellow fizzy water. He was so amazed that less than one year ago he began brewing beer at home. Although he is not the best brewer…his love for beer lives on at Grape Juice where he hand-selects (yes he gets to taste them all) all of the beers and has brought us arguably the best beer taps in the Hill Country.
